Our wedding planners are still basking in the loving and fun glow from Eddie and Whitney’s March 2019 Destin Yacht Wedding and Reception aboard the SOLARIS. Eddie and Whitney hosted an incredibly special wedding aboard the SOLARIS yacht in Sandestin that was immediately followed with a reception on the main deck.
Playing homage to Eddie’s Irish heritage, the couple decided to host their Destin wedding over St. Patrick’s Day weekend. Eddie and Whitney worked closely with our wedding planners to customize their wedding and reception to honor his Irish heritage. The day began with matching gold four leaf clover bracelets that the bride and groom wore for their special day. The bridesmaids wore beautiful deep green, floor length dresses and even our wedding planner Julie joined in on the Irish fun with a deep green dress. Whitney stunned in a floor length wedding dress with her hair styled down with romantic curls sweeping across her shoulders.
Their Destin wedding was on the sky deck of the SOLARIS yacht venue, with unlimited coastal views of the water and skies. White roses and lush greenery surrounded the bridal platform on the sky deck. After the touching nuptials by our SOLARIS captain, the newlyweds cheered as the walked down the aisle as husband and wife. While Eddie and Whitney took pictures, guests headed downstairs for a fun Irish-themed reception.
The reception was planned on the main deck of the SOLARIS yacht with panoramic views of the Destin waters from the windows. Our wedding planners used gold and green throughout the reception to reflect their Irish influences. The couple chose gold chairs that surrounded tables with white and green linens. The centerpieces included lush greenery and white flowers. Gold chargers and custom gold lighting were the final touches for the reception out at sea. The special couple’s table was draped in a glittery gold tablecloth and a special hanging crystal chandelier. Guests left with a customized, green koozie momento with Whitney and Eddie’s name and wedding date.

I can not say enough good things about our experience with Sunquest. Being from the Destin area, we had always heard great things about the wedding venue, but they beyond exceeded our expectations. We chose to have our Destin wedding and reception on the Solaris Yacht. From the very beginning Kristi made the process very easy. Julie maintained constant communication with me during the whole planning period and even met with me in person on more than one occasion. The wedding venue was BEAUTIFUL, the DJ was great, and the staff was so kind and accommodating, and the food was wonderful. My guests haven’t stopped raving about how fun the whole experience was. I truly could not have asked for a better wedding in Destin Florida.
