It was quite a memorable day when the phone rang at SunQuest Beach Weddings and there was an excited bride on the other end of the line saying “I’m planning a Destination Beach Wedding in Destin in the next few months and need help. Also, I’ve got 34 bridesmaids!” In all our years of planning Destin weddings, this was definitely a first for us! Our wedding planners thought she was kidding at first but it was true and it was the start of an unforgettable journey to help Casmé and Gary plan the Destin Beach wedding of their dreams.
SunQuest Beach Wedding Coordinator Nicole Manard was at their service to get to know the couple and help make their Destination Wedding dreams come true. Casmé is a multi-talented singer, songwriter, dancer, graphic /fashion/ interior designer, humanitarian and motivational speaker based out of New Orleans who has influenced and been influenced by a number of people in her life as she has traveled the world performing. Hence her original number of bridesmaids was 50 but due to scheduling conflicts “only” 34 were able to commit. Casmé handpicked every one of these women – including 6 sisters and 28 friends – who had been an influential and important part of her life over the past 20 years from eight different cities that she lived in. Her fiance Gary also thought it was a joke and asked if he had to have 34 groomsmen. Luckily, he got off the hook with 12 groomsmen.
Planning Their Dream Destin Beach Wedding
Casmé and Gary had just recently gotten engaged and decided to get married within three months of their engagement. Casmé had frequented the Destin area over 50 times as a wedding singer and she always dreamed of a Florida Destination Beach Wedding. Over the years, Casmé had also created vision boards on Pinterest of her dream beach wedding so she knew exactly what she wanted and turned to SunQuest Beach Weddings to make her dreams come true. Three months was a short period for a massive wedding of this size but our experienced team was ready to make it happen.
SunQuest Beach Wedding Coordinator Nicole met with Casmé and her two friends who were also event coordinators. Together, they listened to Casmé’s vision and started scouting Destin wedding venues. Within two days, Nicole had secured the perfect ceremony location for their Destin Beach Wedding. Casmé’s only request was that she say her vows as the sun was rising and Nicole was able to secure the perfect location at the Pelican Beach Resort in Destin Fl.
Nicole continued to work with Casmé and her friends to iron out all the details of the ceremony. Together, they discussed how to get all 34 bridesmaids down the aisle and the best placement for the entire bridal party during the ceremony. Nicole worked closely with Casmé and Gary during the ceremony rehearsal and assisted in organizing the bridesmaids and arbor placement.
Prior to the wedding, Casmé and her nearly three dozen bridesmaids had the time of their lives as they danced and sang on the beaches of Destin Fl for a bachelorette breakfast and swimsuit photo shoot. It was a powerful sign of sisterhood and support for their Casmé.
“It was heartwarming to see how these 34 women were interwoven into one another’s lives and came together in true sisterhood to support each other and Casmé.” – Nicole, SunQuest Beach Wedding Coordinator
Sunrise Beach Wedding Day in Destin
It was a beautiful morning on June 2nd for a sunrise beach wedding at Pelican Beach Resort in Destin for Casmé and Gary. Nicole and Kristi from SunQuest Beach Weddings arrived at 2:30 AM to set up the beach wedding and coordinate with Sunquest officiant, Captain Hal. Nicole and Kristi ensured that the procession ran smoothly and timely as all 34 bridesmaids and 12 groomsmen made their way down the beach for the nautical nuptials.
Casmé stunned in a sleeveless, white lace, fitted long length gown with a sheer top while her 34 bridesmaids shined in all shades of blush, cream and earthy tones. Nicole was right there to make sure everyone was in their right spot in a timely manner and that the ceremony ran seamlessly. Casmé even serenaded her husband with a touching rendition of Steady Love by India Arie.
“Real love goes way beyond feelings of romance and bliss,” – Captain Hal at the picture perfect nautical nuptials.
As SunQuest Beach Weddings assisted with the breakdown, the newlyweds and their guests celebrated the day away with a crawfish boil, beach volleyball, and other fun beach activities. The day was filled with love, laughter and lasting memories.
“We were so honored to get to know this amazing couple and be apart of their truly unique wedding experience. Three months to plan and 34 bridesmaids – it was a mission we were ready to tackle and make happen to make their dreams come true,” stated Nicole Manard, SunQuest Beach Weddings event coordinator.
